Making music has been my first and longest love, and my longest profession. Whether it’s playing new compositions by the most interesting living composers, rocking a sax of keyboards in a rock band, making the most of every skill I have in a musical theatre pit, or passing that knowledge on to my students, the collaboration and creativity of music is as inspiring to me now as it was when I played my first note.

Communication can happen in multiple ways, whether words, numbers, graphs, or a well thought-out user interface or website, and I love helping folks communicate what they need to express in multiple formats.

Food has been at the heart of my creativity all of my life. From the Southern food traditions that I grew up with in Alabama to the cuisines I’ve experienced through my travels all over the world, I find food to be an inspiring love language that can connect us across time, space, and experience. Whether it’s sharing recipes or the experience of a big event, food is its own language that connects us all.
