Music

Simply stated: I communicate through sound. Most days, I practice more instruments than I can count on two hands and most weeks I’m performing in some fashion on at least half of them.

Lydia Jane Pugh: Voul-ous enne p’tite goute? (Live Performance)
Katie Ravenwood, saxophone, Jared Cazel, bass, & Shawn Galvin, vibraphone
Joseph Horovitz: Sonatina for Clarinet & Piano, II. Adagio (Live Performance)
Katie Ravenwood, clarinet & Michael Dauphinais, piano
John Adams: Gnarly Buttons, III. Put Your Loving Arms Around Me (excerpt)
Katie Ravenwood, clarinet & Great Noise Ensemble
Marc Mellits: Five Machines , Machine III (Live Performance)
Katie Ravenwood, clarinet & Great Noise Ensemble

One of my very favorite projects was getting to work with Mo Willems and Deborah Wicks La Puma in the band for the production and soundtrack for their fantastic and fun musical Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus, which premiered at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2019. So fun to play saxophones for the work of such creative and fun people!
